While we acknowledge that nudity may be shared for artistic, educational, medical, or awareness-raising purposes, we also strive to maintain a respectful environment for all users, many of whom may be sensitive to this type of content due to cultural norms, personal values, or age-related concerns.

We restrict explicit sexual content and nudity to prevent the non-consensual sharing of intimate material, the spread of underage sexual content, and to ensure that our platform is not used for pornographic distribution. However, we allow certain types of nudity when the intent is clear and aligns with medical, artistic, or advocacy contexts, including:

• Breastfeeding imagery

• Post-mastectomy scars

• Uncovered female nipples, except in contexts related to breastfeeding, mastectomy recovery, medical discussions, or protest movements.

• Visible anuses or fully nude close-ups of buttocks, except in medical or health-related discussions (requires a sensitive content warning).

• Near nudity, where genitalia or breasts are only covered by digital overlays, sheer fabric, or opaque objects (restricted to ages 16 and older).

Sexual Activity And Explicit Content

We remove all depictions of real or simulated sexual activity, including:

• Explicit sexual intercourse (i.e., visible penetration, oral sex, or genital contact).

• Stimulation of genitals or anus, including the use of sex toys (unless in a medical or sexual wellness context with a sensitive content warning).

• Presence of sexual by-products, such as bodily fluids associated with sexual activity.

• Erections, ejaculation, or digital imagery of explicit sexual acts (unless in a medical, health, or educational context).

• Squeezing of female breasts, except when shown in a breastfeeding context.

Sexualized Content And Fetish-Related Imagery

Nexus removes content that depicts fetish content related to:

• Acts likely to cause death or physical harm to humans or animals.

• Dismemberment, cannibalism, or extreme bodily harm in a sexual context.

• Bodily fluids such as urine, feces, menstruation, or vomit in a sexual context.

• Bestiality, incest, or non-consensual sexual acts (including digital and fictional depictions).

Restricted And Age-Limited Content:

Certain content related to nudity and sexual activity may not be removed but will be restricted or labeled based on its context.

Content Labeled With A Sensitivity Warning

The following types of content may be allowed but will include a sensitive content warning:

• Medical and health-related nudity, including:

  • Childbirth and postpartum recovery

  • Gender confirmation surgery

  • Self-examination for cancer or other medical conditions

• Implicit sexual activity in a medical or health context, such as:

  • Educational materials on reproductive health

  • Scientific discussions related to sexual function

• Sexual wellness content, when discussing issues related to intimacy or mental health.

Content Restricted To Ages 16+

To prevent exposure to minors, Nexus restricts viewing access to users aged 16 and older for:

• Near nudity, including sheer clothing, digital overlays, or objects covering genitalia or breasts.

• Sexual poses, where the groin, buttocks, or female breasts are in focus (including real-world art and digital imagery).

• Sex-related activity, such as deep kissing, erotic dancing, or sexually suggestive gestures.

• Depictions of pornographic websites, including logos, watermarks, or screenshots.

• Sexualized gestures, such as hand signs implying genitalia, masturbation, or intercourse.

• Audio recordings of sexual activity (without explicit visual content).

Content Restricted To Ages 18+

Some explicit content is not removed but restricted to adults aged 18 and older, including:

• Real-world art that depicts implicit or explicit sexual activity, unless intended for medical, scientific, or educational discussion.

• Depictions of bestiality, if shared in a neutral or condemning context, provided the individuals or animals depicted are not real.

• Fictional or digitally generated depictions of sexual activity, including:

  • Sexualized cartoons or illustrations (if the content does not involve minors or non-consensual acts).

  • Explicit humor or satire, where the sexual elements are exaggerated or abstract.

  • Content where only body contours or shapes are visible (without explicit detail).

Exceptions And Contextual Considerations:

While Nexus removes most sexually explicit content, we make careful exceptions when the intent is clear and the material is being used in a legitimate medical, artistic, or educational context.

Allowed content includes:

• Medical and health discussions, such as those focused on reproductive health, sexual education, and medical procedures.

• Artistic depictions of nudity, including photographs of classical paintings and sculptures.

• Protest imagery, where nudity is used as a symbolic or political statement.

• Content depicting famine, genocide, war crimes, or crimes against humanity, even if nudity is present (to ensure historical accuracy).

Policy Enforcement And Monitoring:

To enforce this policy effectively, Nexus uses a combination of AI detection, human moderation, and user reporting mechanisms. Our system:

• Removes content that explicitly violates this policy.

• Restricts and labels content that contains sensitive or explicit material.

• Implements age restrictions for content deemed inappropriate for minors.

• Monitors and disables accounts that repeatedly share prohibited sexual content.
