Commerce Policy

Commerce activities cover all efforts to purchase, sell, or exchange goods—whether for payment or at no cost—across Nexus's suite of services, including Nexus Marketplace, Nexus Shops, and Nexus Business Catalogs. Products that are listed, sold, or exchanged via these platforms must fully comply with the Nexus Commerce Policies. Additionally, all commercial transactions must adhere to Nexus's overarching Community Standards and platform-specific Guidelines, which may vary across different Nexus services. It is the responsibility of buyers, sellers, and traders to ensure they meet all applicable legal and regulatory obligations. Failing to comply with these requirements can lead to various consequences, including but not limited to the removal of listings or content, rejection of product tags, and suspension or permanent loss of access to Nexus’s commerce functionalities. Continued policy violations may lead to escalating penalties, including stricter account actions.

What to Do if Your Commerce Content is Disapproved:

Appeal Process
If your commerce content has been flagged or removed due to a violation of Nexus Commerce Policies, and you believe this was an error, you may request a review. Follow the specified steps for Nexus Marketplace or consult the process for product catalog issues on Nexus Shops and Nexus Business platforms.

Prohibited Commerce Content:

Community Standards Compliance
Commerce content must never breach Nexus Community Standards.

Adult Products and Suggestive Content
Content promoting or displaying adult products or featuring sexually suggestive positioning is not allowed.

Alcohol Sales
The sale, trade, or promotion of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited.

Human Body Parts and Fluids
Selling or trading human body parts or bodily fluids is forbidden.

Unauthorized Digital Media and Devices
Devices that enable unauthorized streaming or tampering with electronic devices are banned.

Discriminatory Content
Commerce content and transactions must not exhibit discrimination or suggest preferences based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected attributes. All listings must comply with local anti-discrimination laws.

Illegal Financial Transactions
Content involving the sale or exchange of counterfeit documents, currency, financial instruments, or virtual currencies is disallowed.

Gambling and Betting
Promotions related to gambling, betting, or any game of chance—including lotteries and fantasy sports—are not permitted.

Hazardous Goods
The sale or trade of hazardous materials or substances is prohibited.

Human Trafficking and Sexual Services
Content promoting human exploitation, trafficking, or any form of sexual services is forbidden.

Job Listings
Commerce content must not include job postings or employment opportunities.

Animals and Land in Protected Areas
The trade or sale of animals, animal parts, or land in conservation areas is restricted.

Medical and Health Products
Selling medical devices, healthcare services, or ingestible supplements is prohibited.

Misleading, Violent, or Hateful Content
Commerce content cannot contain misleading claims, violent imagery, or hateful material.

Non-Sale Content
Content unrelated to commerce, such as news or humorous posts without a product offer, is not allowed.

Prescription Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia
The promotion or sale of prescription drugs, illicit substances, or drug paraphernalia is forbidden.

Recalled or Banned Products
The sale or trade of recalled, banned, or defective products is prohibited.

Stolen Property
Items obtained illegally or without proper authorization cannot be sold or traded.

Digital Subscriptions and Accounts
Selling or trading digital subscriptions, downloadable content, or user accounts is not permitted.

Intellectual Property Violations
Commerce content must not infringe upon third-party intellectual property rights, including copyrights and trademarks. Counterfeit goods are strictly prohibited.

Tobacco and Related Products
Selling tobacco products or related paraphernalia is banned.

Used Cosmetics
Commerce content may not include used cosmetics or cosmetics not in original packaging.

Vehicle Parts and Accessories
Certain vehicle parts and accessories may not be sold or traded through Nexus platforms.

Weapons, Ammunition, and Explosives
The sale or trade of weapons, ammunition, and explosives is strictly forbidden.

Restricted Commerce Content:

Event Tickets
Only approved sellers can promote or sell event tickets.

Gift Cards and Vouchers
The promotion or sale of gift cards or vouchers is restricted to authorized sellers.

Pet Adoption Services
Only verified sellers may promote pet adoption or matching services.

Service Listings
Services may only be promoted on Nexus’s Business app or through Appointments features on Nexus Shops.
