Pet Policy
Here is our standard policy for pets. Some homes don't allow pets at all. Some homes have other requirements such as weight restrictions or animal type restrictions (no cats and dogs if the owner is allergic to them) or a limit on how many pets are allowed if they fall below our standards.
-
$300 per pet refundable pet security deposit if allowed in your state
Note: If your pet is an ESA (with supporting documentation), this fee will be waived.
-
It varies by property, so please check the listing details for the home in which you are interested. When a rental unit allows pets, there is a one-time non-refundable fee per pet with a maximum of three (3) pets allowed per property. In addition, there will be a monthly rent charge for each uncaged pet. See our list of fees for current rates.
If you have a condition or disability that requires the use of a service animal or emotional support animal, we will not charge any fees or monthly rent with respect to such an animal in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Determination of allowable pets may be dependent upon a third-party screening process.
Pets permitted in some homes include domestic dogs, domestic cats, caged domestic birds, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, aquarium animals (including vertebrates and invertebrates), small non-venomous reptiles, small turtles, and tortoises. One (1) aquarium shall be permitted and limited to a maximum capacity of sixty (60) gallons.
Unusual house pets are prohibited and shall include, but are not limited to, exotic and/or venomous reptiles, arthropods, anthropoids, non-domestic felines, non-domestic canines, uncaged rodents, mammals, birds, or livestock (pigs, chickens, goats, etc.), and any other animals other than those listed in the list of permitted pets above.
-
