This policy is designed to protect individuals and businesses by prohibiting the sale, trade, donation, or promotion of goods and services that pose potential risks to safety, legality, or ethical standards. Certain products and services, including those related to drugs, weapons, gambling, and body parts, are strictly restricted from being exchanged or advertised on Nexus platforms. While legitimate brick-and-mortar retailers and online stores may discuss or promote these goods and services in compliance with applicable laws, direct transactions and unauthorized distribution are not allowed.

Nexus acknowledges the importance of discussions surrounding regulatory changes, public policy debates, and personal experiences related to restricted goods and services. Therefore, conversations that advocate for legal changes, discuss medical treatments, or share informational content without promoting or facilitating sales remain permitted.

Prohibited Goods And Services:

The following categories are strictly regulated or prohibited from transactions and unauthorized promotions:

Drugs And Pharmaceuticals:

Any attempt to purchase, sell, trade, donate, or solicit drugs that have a high risk of addiction, misuse, or adverse health effects is not permitted. This includes substances such as cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, and other opioids that are commonly associated with overdose and public health concerns.

Content that admits to the use or trade of these substances, unless in the context of recovery, medical treatment, or harm reduction efforts, is also prohibited. Encouraging drug use, providing instructions on how to manufacture, use, or obtain these substances, or coordinating drug-related activities will result in removal.

Drugs used outside their intended medical purposes, including synthetic substances, precursor chemicals, and recreational drugs, are also restricted. Any content attempting to facilitate their trade, advertise their effects, or promote their misuse is disallowed.

Prescription medications may not be sold or transferred between individuals. Exceptions may apply for content discussing the pricing of vaccines, pharmaceutical accessibility, or delivery services when provided by a verified healthcare entity. Seeking or offering prescription medications is not allowed unless the context involves legitimate discussions about medical affordability or accessibility.

Cannabis products, including THC-based items and psychoactive derivatives, are restricted from trade, even in regions where they are legal. Discussions on legalization, medical benefits, and policy debates are allowed.

Weapons, Ammunition, And Explosives:

Attempts to buy, sell, trade, or gift firearms, ammunition, firearm accessories, or explosive devices are strictly prohibited. Private transactions involving these items are not allowed under any circumstances.

Retail businesses, licensed firearm dealers, and government agencies may discuss or promote weapons when operating within legal parameters. Content posted by such entities must be clearly identifiable and may be restricted from minors under 21 years of age.

Manufacturing instructions for 3D-printed firearms, firearm parts, or other weapon components are not permitted. Any content attempting to facilitate the unauthorized modification of firearms, such as conversion devices, suppressors, or enhancements that increase lethality, is subject to removal.

Bladed weapons, including knives and self-defense tools, are similarly restricted. Content promoting their sale, exchange, or unauthorized use is not allowed.

Tobacco And Nicotine Products:

Attempts to purchase, sell, or gift tobacco products, including nicotine-based items and electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS), such as vapes and e-cigarettes, are prohibited. While discussions about these products are permitted, content that promotes their use, particularly among minors, is restricted.

Retail businesses and verified online sellers may promote tobacco-related products, but visibility may be restricted to adults aged 18 and older.

Alcohol:

Selling or gifting alcoholic beverages between individuals is not permitted. However, brick-and-mortar retailers, online merchants, and event organizers may promote alcoholic products when following legal regulations. Content referring to social events where alcohol is available, such as restaurant promotions, bar advertisements, and private gatherings, is allowed.

Visibility of alcohol-related content may be restricted to users 18 years of age and older. Depictions of alcohol consumption, recipes for alcoholic beverages, and references to drinking culture are allowed unless they encourage excessive or irresponsible drinking.

Health And Wellness Products:

Weight loss products and services are subject to strict regulation. Content that promotes guaranteed weight loss results, depicts before-and-after transformations in a way that implies negative self-perception, or encourages unrealistic expectations is restricted. Discussions about fitness, dieting, and medical weight management remain permitted.

Cosmetic procedures and enhancement products, including skin-whitening treatments, plastic surgery, and body modification services, cannot be advertised. Personal testimonies about the effects of cosmetic procedures, as well as discussions about risks, regulations, and medical considerations, are allowed.

Adult sexual enhancement products, including sex toys, erotic accessories, and non-surgical performance-enhancing supplements, may not be sold, traded, or gifted. Educational content discussing sexual health remains permitted.

Online Gambling And Games:

Real-money gambling services, including online casinos, sports betting, lotteries, and prize draws, cannot be sold or advertised unless operated by a legally recognized entity. Content that promotes gambling strategies, guarantees winnings, or misrepresents the risks associated with gambling is not allowed.

Social casino games that simulate gambling without real-money rewards may be discussed but should not be advertised as legitimate gambling alternatives.

Endangered Species And Wildlife Products:

The sale, trade, or solicitation of endangered species, their body parts, or protected wildlife is strictly prohibited. Poaching-related content, including depictions of illegal wildlife trade or encouragement of hunting endangered species, will be removed.

Live animals may not be sold unless through verified businesses, rehoming shelters, or animal rescue organizations. Private transactions involving pets are only permitted when conducted through legitimate adoption networks.

Historical Artifacts And Cultural Heritage Items:

The trade, sale, or gifting of historically significant artifacts, including those of archaeological, religious, or cultural importance, is prohibited. Items with verifiable historical significance should not be exchanged outside of legally authorized institutions or collectors.

Hazardous Materials:

The sale or distribution of hazardous chemicals, radioactive materials, toxic substances, and items with potential to cause serious harm is not allowed. This includes industrial-grade solvents, restricted chemicals, and explosive compounds.

Human Body Parts And Fluids:

The sale or trade of human body parts, including bones, organs, and preserved specimens, is prohibited. This restriction extends to bodily fluids, including blood, plasma, and reproductive materials, except for legally regulated donation services.

Content Restrictions And Enforcement:

Nexus enforces visibility restrictions on certain content based on age, context, and intent. Discussions surrounding regulated goods, policy changes, and harm reduction efforts are permitted, but direct sales, exchanges, or solicitations are prohibited.

Content promoting illegal transactions, dangerous modifications, or unethical trade practices will be removed. Verified businesses and government entities operating within legal boundaries may promote their services while adhering to applicable regulations.

Repeated violations of this policy may result in account suspension, content removal, or legal action, depending on the severity of the offense.

Exceptions And Limited Allowances:

Content that condemns, educates, or raises awareness about restricted goods is permitted when it does not encourage transactions. Discussions about product regulations, industry developments, and legal advocacy remain allowed.

Educational and journalistic content covering medical advancements, public health concerns, or historical discussions of restricted goods is allowed within appropriate contexts.

Policy Amendments:
