Nexus prioritizes the privacy and security of our users by implementing strict safeguards to protect personal and confidential information. We do not allow individuals to share, solicit, or distribute sensitive personal data that could lead to physical, financial, or reputational harm. This includes financial records, residential details, medical information, and data obtained through illegal sources.
Recognizing that certain private information may become publicly available through news coverage, court records, or government press releases, we may allow such content when it is already publicly accessible and legally disclosed. However, unauthorized exposure of personal details—particularly those related to individuals who have not explicitly consented to the disclosure—is strictly prohibited.
Additionally, paid content, including advertisements, must comply with privacy protection rules. While advertisements may highlight product features and services, they must not exploit personal hardships, imply knowledge of sensitive data, or negatively characterize users based on personal attributes. Prohibited Content
The following categories of private and personally identifiable information (PII) are strictly prohibited from being shared or requested on our platform:
Personally Identifiable Information (PII):
Nexus prohibits content that shares or requests unique personal identifiers of any individual, including:
Government-issued identification numbers, such as:
Social Security Numbers (SSN)
Passport numbers
Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITIN)
Official records from civil registries, including:
Birth, marriage, or death certificates
Legal name change documents
Gender recognition documentation
Immigration and work authorization records, including:
Green cards
Work permits
Visa details
Government IDs for law enforcement, military, or security personnel.
Personal Contact Information:
Nexus does not allow the unauthorized sharing or solicitation of personal contact details, including:
Home phone numbers, mobile numbers, or email addresses of others.
Social media handles, usernames, or other contact details used to personally identify individuals.
Exceptions apply when:
The contact information was made publicly available by the individual.
It is shared for charitable purposes, such as missing persons reports.
It is used to locate missing pets, lost objects, or contact businesses and service providers (provided consent is not disputed).
Residential Information:
Nexus prohibits the sharing of private residential addresses, including:
Full private home addresses, including GPS locations or map pins, unless:
The residence is an official residence of a high-ranking public official or embassy.
The information is shared for charitable or emergency purposes, such as locating missing persons or lost pets.
Partial private addresses, when included with calls for protests or surveillance of residents, including:
Street names, cities (under 50,000 residents), or postal codes.
GPS coordinates or pinned locations (even if linked externally).
Images displaying private residences, where:
The property is a single-family home or unit details (e.g., apartment number or building name) are identified.
The location is identifiable through street name, neighborhood, or city details.
The resident is named or targeted for protests or unwanted attention.
The image is not part of legitimate news coverage (unless used to organize protests against a resident).
Additionally, Nexus prohibits the exposure or solicitation of safe house locations, including:
Exact addresses of safe houses (P.O. boxes are permitted).
Images of safe house buildings.
Identifiable city or neighborhood where the safe house is located.
Information identifying safe house residents (unless the facility itself publicly shares such details).
Medical And Psychological Information:
We remove content that shares or requests private medical, psychological, biometric, or genetic data of individuals, including:
Medical records, prescriptions, or diagnostic reports.
Health insurance details.
Genetic testing results or hereditary medical data.
Psychological assessments or mental health records.
Financial Information:
To protect against fraud and financial exploitation, Nexus prohibits the sharing or solicitation of:
Non-public personal financial records.
Bank account details with security codes or PINs.
Credit card or debit card numbers, including expiration dates and CVV codes.
Digital payment account credentials (e.g., PayPal, Venmo, crypto wallets, with login details).
Non-public financial records of businesses and organizations, unless:
The organization itself publicly discloses the information.
The financial data is part of legally required public reporting (e.g., stock market filings).
Information Obtained From Hacked Sources:
Nexus strictly prohibits content claimed or confirmed to originate from hacked or illegally obtained sources, including:
Leaked government or corporate records.
Compromised email accounts or login credentials.
Financial, medical, or personal data obtained through hacking.
Private communications or documents exposed without consent.
Special Protections For Minors And Vulnerable Individuals:
Nexus provides additional privacy safeguards for:
Minors under 13, where content is reported by a parent or legal guardian.
Minors between 13-18, where content is reported by the minor.
Adults outside the U.S., when local laws grant removal rights.
Incapacitated individuals unable to report their own privacy violations.
Restricted Content: Additional Context Required:
Some privacy-related content may be removed based on additional information, including:
Depictions of individuals in medical facilities, if reported by:
The person in the image.
An authorized representative of the individual.
The medical facility providing care to the person depicted.
Reports of leaked, non-public information related to elections, when:
It is part of a foreign government influence operation.
It is published by state-controlled media from the country responsible for the leak.
Policy Enforcement And Monitoring:
Nexus enforces this policy through a combination of AI moderation, user reporting, and expert review. Our enforcement measures include:
Immediate removal of content exposing private or financial data.
Blocking and banning users who repeatedly violate privacy protections.
Restricting content visibility in cases where additional context is required.
Policy Amendments And Updates:
This policy undergoes regular evaluation and updates to adapt to emerging privacy threats and legal changes. Any modifications take effect immediately upon posting.
