Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, And Nudity Policy

Protecting children from harm is a fundamental priority. Nexus does not allow any content, activity, or interactions that involve or facilitate the sexual exploitation, endangerment, or abuse of children in any form. Any apparent child exploitation identified on our platform is promptly reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in compliance with applicable laws.

We acknowledge that some users may share images of their own children with innocent intentions. However, we generally remove such content to prevent potential misuse, exploitation, or unauthorized redistribution. Our enforcement efforts are informed by leading child safety organizations, including the Meta Safety Advisory Board, and we continuously refine our policies to strengthen protections against child exploitation and abuse.

Additionally, we employ advanced technology to detect, prevent, and remove content that violates this policy. This includes automated systems and human moderation teams that actively monitor, flag, and take action against harmful material.

Prohibited Content

Nexus strictly prohibits any content that involves child sexual exploitation, inappropriate interactions with minors, non-consensual nudity, or non-sexual child abuse. This policy applies to real children, fictional representations, AI-generated content, and any form of media that portrays minors in an exploitative or abusive manner.

Child Sexual Exploitation And Abuse:

Any content that depicts, promotes, supports, or provides instructions for the sexual exploitation of children is strictly forbidden. This includes:

• Visual depictions of child sexual abuse, including both real and digitally created materials.

• Sexualized images of children, including AI-generated images, fictional characters, dolls, and animations.

• Depictions of minors engaged in sexual intercourse, implied intercourse, or explicit sexual activity.

• Any portrayal of a child in a sexualized context, including:

  • Restraints

  • Signs of arousal

  • Nudity in a staged or provocative setting

  • The presence of sex toys or sexual paraphernalia

  • Sexualized costumes or suggestive clothing

  • Stimulation of human nipples (except in breastfeeding contexts)

  • Open-mouth kissing in a sexualized manner

  • Any references to sexual by-products or adult involvement in child exploitation

Additionally, content that sexualizes children in fetish contexts—such as depictions related to coercion, role-play, or domination—is explicitly prohibited.

Solicitation And Grooming:

Any attempt to solicit, distribute, or engage in inappropriate sexual conversations with or about children is strictly prohibited. This includes:

• Requesting or sharing sexually explicit images or videos of minors, including real or fictional content.

• Soliciting minors for sexual activity or intimate material.

• Grooming behaviors, such as:

  • Engaging in explicit conversations with children in private messages

  • Encouraging minors to engage in sexual activity through manipulation or coercion

  • Offering or requesting sexual materials from children

  • Exposing minors to sexual content with the intent to desensitize them to exploitation

Exploitative Imagery And Sextortion:

Exploitation of minors through coercion, threats, or the dissemination of intimate images is strictly forbidden. This includes:

• Using threats or coercion to obtain intimate imagery or personal favors from minors (sextortion).

• Sharing, threatening to share, or stating an intent to share explicit images of children.

• Disseminating or attempting to distribute private sexual conversations involving minors.

Sexualization Of Children:

Any content that portrays children in a sexualized manner, whether real or fictional, is a violation of this policy. This includes:

• Images, videos, illustrations, or verbal descriptions that sexualize minors.

• Groups, pages, and profiles dedicated to child sexualization, exploitation, or inappropriate content involving minors.

Child Nudity And Inappropriate Depictions:

To prevent the risk of child exploitation, Nexus removes all content featuring child nudity unless explicitly allowed for health or educational purposes. Prohibited content includes:

• Close-ups of a child’s genitalia, even if covered by transparent clothing.

• Nude images of toddlers or minors showing visible genitalia, anus, or fully nude close-up buttocks.

• Uncovered female nipples on minors.

• Images depicting children unclothed from the neck to knee, even if no genitalia are visible.

Non-real imagery (such as art or digital renderings) of child nudity may be allowed when it serves a legitimate medical, scientific, or artistic purpose and is not exploitative in nature.

Non-Sexual Child Abuse:

Although child abuse does not always involve sexual exploitation, any content that depicts, promotes, or encourages physical or psychological harm toward children is strictly prohibited. This includes:

• Videos or images showing real or fictional children being physically abused, beaten, or harmed.

• Content that promotes, glorifies, or encourages child abuse, including disciplinary violence.

• Instructions on how to physically harm, discipline, or coerce children in a manner that causes harm.

Restricted Content And Contextual Exceptions:

Certain content related to child abuse or nudity may be restricted rather than removed, depending on context.

• Warnings And Age Restrictions:

  • Content depicting police officers or military personnel committing child abuse may be shown with an age restriction and warning screen.

  • Videos of child abuse may remain visible at the request of law enforcement or child protection agencies when it serves to recover a missing child or assist in their protection.

  • Content featuring violent child immersion in water for religious rituals may be flagged with a sensitivity warning.

• News And Humanitarian Coverage:

  • Reputable news organizations may publish images of child nudity in cases involving famine, genocide, war crimes, or crimes against humanity. These images may be restricted with a warning screen unless they contain captions or context that violate our policy.

  • Imagery documenting the aftermath of child abuse may be removed when reported by credible media sources, NGOs, or trusted safety partners.

• Privacy Protections For Child Victims:

  • Content that indirectly identifies victims of child sexual exploitation (through details other than name or image) may be removed if it poses a risk of further harm.

  • Content that targets a private minor and places them at risk of harm may be removed at the request of law enforcement, government agencies, trusted partners, or the minor’s legal guardian.

Enforcement And Prevention Measures:

To combat child exploitation effectively, Nexus takes the following enforcement actions:

• Immediate removal of violating content and deactivation of accounts engaged in child exploitation.

• Advanced detection technology to identify and prevent the spread of CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material).

• Monitoring interactions to detect and restrict accounts engaging in inappropriate behaviors with minors.

• Reporting to NCMEC and law enforcement agencies when violations involve credible threats to child safety.

• Restricting adult access to certain features when interactions suggest an increased risk of child exploitation.

Policy Amendments And Updates:

This policy is regularly reviewed to ensure compliance with evolving legal standards and child protection measures. Any updates take effect immediately upon posting.
